Our students receive advanced standing toward attaining the Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP™) designation, a key certification for advancing in the supply chain field. Supply Chain Canada is Canada’s largest association representing supply chain professionals. The SCMP™ designation is Canada’s principal and most sought-after professional designation for those entering the supply chain profession and advancing as leaders in supply chain.

Supply chain management is at the heart of every business, which is why the skills developed in our Supply Chain Management Professional diploma program are in such high demand. Graduates of this program learn the various aspects of business operations. With this knowledge, they can contribute to the operational efficiency of a company.

Benefits of SCMP™ Designation for Students

Supply Chain Canada and Sundance College are committed to supporting graduates of our Supply Chain Management Professional diploma program to be at the leading edge of supply chain throughout their careers, to improving the corporate performance of their organizations, and to influencing the transformation of supply chain systems in Canada.

To achieve this, the parties have reached an agreement to provide an efficient path for graduates of the program, who achieve a grade of 70% or higher completed within the last five years, to advanced standing towards the following SCMP academic program components:

Module 2: Procurement and Supply Management
Module 3: Logistics and Transportation
Module 4: Operations Management
Module 8: SCM for Services, Capital Goods and Major Projects
Interactive Workshop 2: Negotiation Skills
Interactive Workshop 3: Communications and Relational Skills
Interactive Workshop 4: Competitive Bidding, Contract Preparation and Contract Management
Interactive Workshop 6: Ethics and Social Responsibility
Sundance College students can achieve advanced standing or exemptions for 8 of the 14 Supply Chain Canada Modules, more than most other colleges and universities in Canada.

In addition to completing these SCMP™ coursework requirements, candidates must also successfully finish the SCMP™ Leadership Residency and pass the National Case-Study Final Examination. All SCMP™ candidates must also fulfill the 3-year work experience requirement, which can be completed through employment, internships, or co-op placements.

This partnership ensures that Sundance College graduates are well-prepared for successful careers in supply chain management and equipped to meet the evolving demands of the industry.
