  • What is the difference between MicroDiplomas and Courses?

MicroDiplomas are intended for students who want to upgrade their skills or get a comprehensive education in a new subject. They are comprised of 2-4 courses.

Courses focus on specific subjects, offering students the flexibility to gain targeted knowledge without committing to a full program. They are ideal for professionals seeking to enhance particular skills or for individuals interested in exploring a single area of study in depth.

  • How do Course credits work?

Each Sundance College course has assigned credits. Each course you complete earns you credits that can be applied towards microdiplomas or diplomas offered by the college. These credits accumulate as you progress, allowing you to advance your education and qualifications. For more information, please refer to the Con-Ed Policy document.

  • Is it more cost effective to enrol in a MicroDiploma that includes Course A, Course B, and Course C or to take each course individually?

Enrolling in a microdiploma is usually more cost-effective because the combined cost of the courses is lower than enrolling in each course separately.

  • Can I transfer my Con-Ed Course credits to earn a MicroDiploma?

Yes, if you successfully complete the required courses for a specific microdiploma, you can use those credits to fully satisfy the microdiploma requirements. For example, if you complete AADF (4 Credits), AATT (2 Credits), and AHRP (3 Credits), you will be awarded the Addictions Fundamentals MicroDiploma (HAD583) at no additional cost. For more information, please refer to the Con-Ed Policy document.

  • When will I get access to the course materials after enrolling in a Con-Ed Course ?

  • Will I get a refund for books that have already been activated?

No, fees for any books that have already been activated will not be refunded, regardless of whether the student actually commenced coursework or not.

  • Are Con-Ed Students bound by the same policies as regular diploma students?
